Hi
I'm working on a sound effect for an animation ..
There is a little firebird crossing the night skies and I'm trying to find some appropriate sound effect for it
I would appreciate any suggestions?
This is a fantasy animation ( no violence ) ..
Cheers
Matthew
Hi there,
hmmm.... appropriate cuts from these, maybe?

(found searching flame wind, fire wind gives more results, but not very focused)
For whatever "bird wings" - you may try these two processing effects: doppler for motion and time stretch (or pitch/tempo resample) for adjusting the wings speed and size so to speak.
You could also try to manipulate some EQs to adjust the color (and motion of EQ curves via automation in Reaper to adjust shifts in perspective) and doppler effect on more regular noises, that sound like a static wind or so.
use spectral content of the last 75 seconds of my simulated rocket ... http://www.freesound.org/people/Timbre/sounds/94571/ (or fireball ... http://www.freesound.org/people/Timbre/sounds/131263/ )
and apply the envelope of flapping wings, ( i.e. create a chimera ... http://www.freesound.org/browse/tags/chimera/ ).
