Hi. I'm still new to collecting sounds and turning them into usable samples. I'm particularly interested in field recording but have only the most basic of hand-held recorders. I'm wondering if anybody has any gear they can recommend for discrete and entry-level field recording. Yes I realize I can google this, but I would rather solicit opinions. Also would welcome any feedback on the editing and sound of the samples in my profile.
Thanks
I do enjoy using the Zoom H1, however the mic is super sensitive to the point that I can't even really hold the equipment in my hands without it adding a lot of extraneous noise to the recording. It's fine for stand alone recording.
