Unfortunately there's no easy way to sound like a crowd. I would say just record yourself over and over doing different things with the line, different inflections, different accents if you want, different pitches, SLIGHTLY different speeds, etc. Or you can try to pitch/time stretch/whatever-else-you-can-think-of a couple different ones. And make sure, since you probably will end up doing basically the same one twice, that there are no phase issues. Good luck!
It was said right a way in the other topic but the chorus effect is the way to go if you don't want to do any more recording. I know there's a chorus effect in several programs such as Cool Edit, ACID, etc. It's not going to give you a realistic "crowd" sound because its applying effects to only one voice but it does make it sound like more of a harmonizing sound. I'd say your best bet would be to record just 2-3 times with different pitches and tempos and then apply the chorus effetc. Should work decently.
Fresh g has a good point both do, record it on something like an olympus outside as well or with a reverb effect. probably about four times, or do them in Vocaloid But also there are some really read things Apply certain Chorus effect to the left and then another to the right, make it a Mono track and then split it into stereo again....
