Hi everyone,
If there is anybody out there still messing around with Samplitude 15 I would love to know how to use external VST plugins. I am quite familiar now with all the built-in synthesisers and would love to use some of the instruments that I find or hear about, but how to make it so?
I am not adverse to googling things myself, and have done so, even a link to a useful tutorial would be great. Magix site help is very basic and not found anything yet.
Thanks
Hello!
If you take a look at this page,
http://www.samplitude.com/en/tutorials/tutorial-samplitude-download-midi-and-vst-free.html
the first video (VST and MIDI Setup Tips) shows in the first minute how to tell Samplitude where to find the plugins; the video is about version 10 but with every VST capable DAW I've seen so far it's just a matter of setting the folder where plugins are located.
...which hints at picking up a sensible parent folder to install all plugins under it, many setups default to ......\Steinberg\VstPlugins.
After minute 4, you'll see how external plugins are accessible from the interface.
I hope this serves as a pointer in the right direction
Thank you Thank you Thank you! I am so happy right now, I finally got Proteus plug-ins to work and just in time for my christmas holiday!
You're welcome! Happy holidays!
