Hey Guy's I just got a roland TM-2 and they say say to use the "WAV" format .. Some "WAV" files come up as an " unsupported format " , other file come up fine and work well . Is their a difference in the " wav file
Thanks
Dennis
I don't have the TM-2 unit, but possibly given a single-source assignment to each pad it might not like stereo WAV files as much as it does mono ones. I would have thought that wouldn't be an issue these days but perhaps it still is.
Differences in a specific frequency and/or bit depth.
The only other thing I have seen is some units do not like to import Broadcast-WAV (BWAV) files. They have extra information in them which sometimes causes issues.
good luck
Check the manual and look for the Specifications section. It will have the info there on what variant of WAV is supported (it will say something like ‘16-bit integer PCM’).
You can use software such as Audacity to convert audio files once you’ve found the type that works.
