I'm looking for a very good mic that I can attach to a shock mount such as a k-tek onto my camera (Sony HDR-FX1). The tricky thing is though, I will be shooting in both a very quiet room with only two people talking, as well as group scenarios outside from a 100 ft. distance. All shooting will be done handheld as it is reality based, with one person in front of the camera and one behind asking interview questions. I realize the person behind will not be heard as well as the person in front of the camera, but they still need to be heard. A very important thing is I need a mic that has virtually no handling noise when in even the quietest of scenarios.
I have already gone through the Sennheiser MKH-416(Too directional), rode video mic(Too much handling noise), and the rode stereo mic(Sounds too hollow). So if anyone has any suggestions of what microphone might work for me, please help me out. Price doesn't matter.
