Hi,
I've been trying to create sounds for a person jogging on a sidewalk. If I jog in lace, it sounds like my shoes are 'thumping' too much on the asphalt. I end up having to do this difficult motion with my feet to make it sound somewhat authentic, but still it just doesn't look right with the video.
I'd appreciate any advice on how to make a good jogging sound. The only thing I can think of would take forever- recording myself jogging past the microphone, isolating each single step that is closest to the microphone upon each run by, and compiling them all together into a rythm... ughh.
Thanks
That I'm pretty sure depends on the microphone itself, and the direction your pointing it in, I would suggest going somewhere really Isolated like a gym or a small concrete ring or any empty building you can get into with the sound you want, and slightly jog in small circles after you figure out how the Mic is recording your jogging in terms of distance you can go and stuff like that, I think a wooden floor gym of a padded mat akido studio could work
