hi, im looking to recreate a certain sound effect which is often used on vocals. The effect is in the matrix and it is when Neo touches the mirror which turns into silver liquid. As the liquid pours down his throat he screams and his scream is gradually stretched. So does any1 know of a stretch tool like this which can be automated so it is possible to add the stretch part way through a sample? Sorry my description is a bit poor!
Thanks
Tom
I do this stuff a lot in Kontakt 3, assigning the speed parameter to a Midi controller or an automation parameter in Logic 8 and tweaking the playback speed of the time stretch algorhythm. You can make sounds static this way (when reaching speed=0%) freezing a tiny section of your sample. With values of 0,1% the sound very slowly starts to move again yielding great results especially when used with speech and vocal samples. Some people are really afraid of these kind of sounds as they seem to have something necrophile to them. I'll upload a sound like this tomorrow.
