Can you please tell me what the effect on the voice used in Klaatu`s song Little Neutrino is called?
Its easy to find on popular video sites.
If you know how its done in audacity, I would really appreciate a how-to guide, I`m decent at following tutorials.
Thanks so much.
nice song.
it's not a talkbox, but it's close.
check framptons 10 minute acid freakout for reference..

it might be an early sonovox, but you'll be able to get close with a vocoder and a rotovibe.
Sorry, i don't know audacity very well, but i'd expect it has a coder and a rotor emulator. I'd start there!
Thank You so much parabolix!
Never heard of a rotovibe, I really appreciate you pointing me in the right direction. I had been messing with vocoder and failing so much.
Thanks for the link, checking it out now.
the trick with vocoders is to get the right carrier. I think it's one of those things that's difficult to do with software, and audacity's vocoder isn't going to make it any easier.
sonivox has a well regarded vst, and i'm sure there are some free ones out there.
instead of hunting for a rotovibe, any leslie cabinet emulator should do the trick. same sort of thing.
I`m making notes and just can`t thank you enough, I really appreciate you helping me to learn more!
Such a cool effect, its great to learn more about it.
