I need to get a section of a song to sound like it's a record or tape machine (reel to reel) coming to a stop really fast. A dive in tempo and pitch. I've tried automation with the pitch and tempo but can't seem to get the right sound. The song I heard it in is from the band "36 CRAZY FISTS" on the "A SNOW CAPPED ROMANCE" album. The song is tilted "KENAI" and its at 1:28 in the song. It sounds like it could be the scrub control rolling back from normal speed to a stop but I can't figure out how to do that with precision. thanks for any help.

go to the Gersic vst site ,download Dblue tape stop, put the dll in your daw vst files it will do what you are looking for. have fun.

Sample the part of the song, load it in a sampler, pitch bend the end.

Thanks Simon, I've tried that and many versions of that can't seem to get what I'm looking for though.
