Hey there, hope it's cool to post this note...
If anyone is a regular user of minidisc recorders and you want to make duplicates/copies/backups of your discs, check out the Denon DN-045R. I have one listed on eBay Australia this week and they are about as rare as you can find.
The Natural Sound Archive at the British Library use one of these. It makes direct digital copies disc to disc with no secondary ATRAC compression on the copied disc. This is about the only way to make a true duplicate (a clone basically). So for backups or minidisc releases etc it's a pretty essential piece of gear. They sold for around US$4000 when they came out.
If you are interested please check it out. I also have a few other very cool minidisc items listed. Thanks
