Hello there.
I have been considering making a pair of youtube tutorials for using freesound.org with the new UI.
One would be how to make an account, search tools for sounds, how to download one, what licence things are and in what context they may be used, and a suggestion for format change (converting flac to wav or something)
The second would be how to use it as a creator. From simple Audacity edits, a proper folder/file management and naming, to uploading and describing/tagging a sound, wait for the moderation process.
That's the general idea. Not sure what I'm expecting from this forum post but feel free to share any ideas ^^
great idea;
i had many request on searching my recordings so I made this text that you maybe can make a video;
How does it work; searching
For example; You are looking for a sound recorded at the river Schelde and uploaded by user klankbeeld.
You search on klankbeeld river schelde
Than you get about about 95 hits.
First you go to 'search advanced search options' and Leave the checkboxes blank.
Now you see all the results.
If you listen to the results step by step, you may hear something you would like to hear in your results. For example the foghorn.
Now you ed 'horn' in the search.
only 38 results are left
You see that the most results are to long. Well now you search by duration (short first).
Now you are ready to find the correct result

there are many keys you can use like license, related tags etc...
I hope you understand my idea.
