I'm working on a dubstep song and want to program the drums myself using redrum. I'm having problems making my dubstep drums feel...full. Any tips? I've tried a lot of different things, 3 or 4 redrums chained together, distortion, regrove, etc
3 kits should be good, a kit with a chorus or phaser here and there panned to slowly on a low volume. A main kit that hits hard and has rolls in it here and there and a kit for Hi hat's and Claps, distort the main kit and put a high low pass phaser on the other hi hat kit and just trick it up. Constantly change beats and keep applying different effects. Experiment.
