I'm a beginning trance producer and I need some good headphones for production. My price range is $100-$200. Can anyone recommend any?

MicroscopiaAnother vote for the AKG's. You couldn't pry me away from my K240's. I've used them for nearly a decade. Pretty good for < $200.
Top end of your price range - worth that bit extra for AKG K702 reference headphones. I use these myself for mixing ops: . Lovely frequency response, they certainly thump out the base frequencies compared to other cans. You can wear these all day long without noticing and come with plug-in cable if you want to change the length etc.. Too bulky for field use however. You would need to compromise if using a single set of cans for both indoor and outdoor use.
