So I finally got myself a new laptop to replace the old Ibook G4, which served me well for nearly seven years
Next to the usual migration problems I have one problem where I'm not sure what to do. I use (used I should say) a Tascam US-122 interface to connect to my nice speakers, recording etc etc. But it doesn't work properly with the new MacBook Pro (I did install the latest drivers). It connects ok but "clips" the sounds.
Googling and mailing with Tascam and Apple hasn't brought up any unambiguous advices yet, most seem to be in favour of using the interface through a powered usb hub. Does anybody know of this problem or better a solution?
