Anybody here mess around with gleetchLAB at all? I've been playing with it a fair amount lately and it's quite fun. It's basically a toolkit of many different sound design tools, developed in Max/MSP, including four loopable wave players (that can be randomnized), various ways of degrading your sound, EQs, ring modulator, and convolver. It doesn't allow for any midi timelines or controlling and you can't 'save any presets' or anything. You can export to wav file what's playing.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that it's completely free. Currently only for Mac and it's at version 1.03, but 2.0, I'm told by the creator, is due out this summer.
For some samples of basic stuff that I've created and uploaded here to freesound check these out:
clicks and snips.wav
acoustic skiddle.wav
those two samples are both pretty minimal. believe me, things can get pretty wild in the 'lab. I've also uploaded a drum loop that I used gleetchlab to distort and include some little guitar samples.
For those looking for some randomness in their sounds or are just feeling too clean, I recommend you check this out!

I wish i had a mac.....For those of us who don't, I suggest "dblue glitch", and everything by "darkware". They are vst and vsti; and kick major butt when it comes to tha gliatches. I currently have not come across anything that even holds a candle to "dblue glitch". If someone does; please let me know.;}

yeah, I was just recently reading a thread over on the CreateDigitalMusic.com forums. Made me wish there was a mac version of it, however the creator of some notable open source software for mac posted that he's been working on something similar and possibly better!

yooo guys, new to the forum, so tristan, is there any progress on that??
I actually got like...upset, when i found out there was nearly no possibility of Glitch for mac. i actually received an email back from Kieran(dblue) about the stagnant status of it.
