I have this old cat, she is 17, she is a grand old girl. She has the most unusual vocal calls. I want to record her vocalizations. I get her to "talk" to me by calling her name and telling her what a good Kitty she is. she will go on answering me as long as I talk to her. I don't want my voice. So do I just record me talking and her answering then edit out my part? Oh, she snores as well which I want to record. Talented old cat. I think the what ever technique I use would be apropos to any situation where the sound collector has an active roll in causing the sound to be generated.
Give her tiny headphones I have a dog which howling when telephone is ringing and there is no other way I have prefered to learn his voice and fake it. This gave the best results.
