Hi,
Is there anyone here owning a PPG 2.2/2.3 synthesizer that can sample some classic PPG vox samples? Just a basic waveform without any FX, sampled in e.g. C2, C3 and C4. I just need one second long samples with fully open filter.
The reason I ask is I own a Poly Evolver Keyboard where you can transfer your own samples into the sizer. It only takes 128 samples long samples but it is enough to make quit cool sounds.
Kind regards
Demokid
Hmm.. Even if PPG does not exists anymore? Who owns the rights if a company doesn’t exsist anymore and for how long is the right valid?
So I guess I have to buy the darn thing and sample the waveforms then sell it…
if i get this right, the copyright ends 70 years after the death of the creator!
Usually, when a company goes out of business, its copyright assets are bought or seized by someone else, I think. At least, this has been the case whenever I have investigated trademarks or copyrights for companies that don't exist.

No indication of that here. Any other places we could look?
Seeing as they are a german company, I'm not sure. I'm not well versed in international patent law, so I don't know if their patent would show up in the U.S. Patent Office databse. Maybe look here? http://www.dpma.de/
I tried a search on the DEPATISnet database for "Palm Products GmbH" and "Wolfgang Palm" and did not find any patents, but that's inconclusive.
The article on wikipedia also states that Wolfgang Palm was the founder and owner of PPG. Again, I don't know much about German/international copyright and patent law, but my guess is that he, as the owner of the company, still holds the intellectual property rights for PPG products.
