I need this sound for a film, intended to replace this one:

Why there wasn't a compressor in the original chain I don't know. Found some similar bucket sounds on FS but the best is in a sauna (steam sounds) and it just won't cut it.
Halleck
Hm ok.. I'll add this to my request queue but don't expect anything that soon.
try sounddogs, it's not free but they might have it!
Will do, I'd rather not pay for it at this stage to be honest, there's a lot we're after and if we pay for it all the rent will be a problem.
Halleck if you can get this for us that'd be brilliant and greatly appreciated. No rush for us of course but we'd like to get tracklaying finished in the next 2-3 weeks if we can so we know how many holes not to sew.
There is a lot of other sounds that we need, would it be rude of me to start new threads for requests or keep them all in one? I Don't want to come across as greedy/ignorant parading my new ass in here but there's no other way for us and I'll always contibute back to this joyous aural haven
My vote would be to make a new request for each sound you can't find on the site...
Contributors have different resources - so don't hold back... what one can't do, others will try. Throw 'em all up...
Personally, I like a challenge. I'm already tring to figure out how to record this bucket sound of yours tonight...
does it have to be a metal bucket...?
freq
Bonus Freqman, I'm overjoyed that your both happy to help. And rest assured more requests will come. Whereabouts in TX are you?
Thanks for link too Marty, appreciated.
Now then the bucket (or johnpot rather) pictured here:

Is metal. More important than the image is it sounds, as it isn't on screen long. It buffers the action as we don't know the feller (Dan - the bed pan man) is there until we hear the buckets handle, then spalsh! So YES Freqman . By all means though use another bucket if you don't have one, and maybe recreate the metallic sounds which occur before/after the spalsh using something else. Your call mate. It is open to debate and I can send you a more descriptive clip if you wish.
I'm in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I recorded and uploaded my attempts tonight.
If you like them - I'll do a remix with the appropriate before and after sounds.

Theiy're spot on Freq, thanks so much. Did you by chance get any of the water dripping afterwards? No problems if you didn't, I'll source that easily enough.
If you wanna do a mix with the other stuff be my guest, I'll PM you a link to the video sequence of this scene in a bit. You can probably manage with the sound, but it'll let you see how it sounds .
