Hi,
I would be grateful if anyone knows of a wav sample of a First world war type whitlse. This is the type that was used to signal the troops to go "Over the top", during a battle.
Thanks in advance.
regards
Jamie
I think the sound you’re looking for is a standard two toned police whistle.
I don’t have one handy, but I generated an FM synth approximation two types - one based around 3500Hz, and another (closer to a police whistle) of about 2100Hz.
I uploaded them today... once they’re approved - look for them as

(by the way - these were my 200th and 201th additions to the freesound project)
