that is a very nice helicopter sound
..how easy is it to loop a sound like that? i gave it a go in audacity, but it doesn't sound very smooth.
alternatively, can anyone make or provide a helicopter loop?
I found a good loop between 04:641 - 9.491, didn't even need to crossfade the mix.
A little difficult since it's phased but if you had other stuff going on the listener might not notice. All I did was match up the 'beats' of the rotor spins (8 beats) and find a point where the sample waveform is @ 0db on both the beginning and the end of the loop, for good loops you need to make sure that when it wraps around that it actually connects the waveform so there's no click.
I've uploaded a wav with the embedded loop in it, I guess it needs to be moderated to be seen? .. Or you can just go set loop markers given the times I pasted.
