Hi All,
I am in desperate need of help. I made a student film staring my late father in 1996. This film was was/is a labor of love and in 2006 I decided to completely re-edit the film using Final Cut. I am so pleased with the way it turned out. I just need a couple of audio effects which I can't produce and one of those things is audio for the initial credit just before the regular opening credits which is the clip of my production name "Tyrod Films." It is 12 second animation with TV monitors which lower and rise with each monitor displaying one letter of the name.
The film is about an assassin (my father) hired to make a hit....a la "The Professional." The film is sinister and dark yet very beautiful and haunting. The film has no dialogue...only classical music to accompany the scenes. With that in mind, maybe you guys can create something for me that would complement my project. Other than that I have no idea what would work there. I cannot convey in words what it would mean to me. This audio would be literally one of the last samples I would need to finish it. Thank you kindly.
Sincerely,
Tyler

Cannot access the link you have given so this is difficult but please try some of the sounds in my sample pack "atmospheres and soundscapes". I made some of these as intros/backgrounds. Might just work. If there is anything you feel might work but think it needs editing or adapting please let me know. Are you looking for something with a rhythm? After all 12 seconds is a short time. Good luck.
Hm, this sounds like a very interesting project.
Do you have any idea of what direction you want to go? Pure sound effects? Music?
What emotion(s) do you want to convey to the viewer? Suspense? Familiarity?
My initial thought was to do some mechanical grinding sound effects with electrical zaps for when the TVs turn on, but this is probably too literal.
My second thought was music, since you mentioned the classical score. Have a listen to these orchestral samples and see if anything stands out to you.
ERH: you might have to copy-and-paste the link if his host doesn't like hotlinking.
Hi there Tyler,
I have emailed you direct an initial shot at sound for the opening sequence of your film.
Is this anywhere near what you're looking for?
The music is from "Blowing Snow" by Marco Raaphorst and is also CC licensed.
