Hi all,
Can anyone create a sample for that unique sound of tobacco burning aggressively in those initial few seconds when lit for the first time. I need it to be 7 seconds of burn from consistent, yet natural puffing. I also need it to be perfectly quite otherwise which includes not hearing any puffing...just the sound of the burn. For example, I think in the film "The Usual Suspects", the sound guys on the film really zeroed in on capturing that sound but it was only a second or two. I also need the striking of a wooden match before hand as well. Hopefully someone can help. Thanks so much. Best, Tyler
PS: To give you a better reference point for what I need. My actor lights one of those very small cigars (actually almost the same dimensions of a cigarette). Thanks again.
EDIT: HERE IS THE CLIP (I need to hear that sizzle)

i'll see what i can come up with. i'll need to find a really quit place where smoking is allowed, something that's becoming increasingly hard with local legislation, etc. The weather wont help either with 20's and 30's F in the Washington, DC area lately. Further more I've cut back to less than half a pack a day. I'm trying NOT to smoke lol.
I think I'll let one sit out in the open air for a day and dry out. That should give it that nice crackle..
Well, it's not on freesound, it's on my personal website (conditions are the same) :

I called it "smoker set" : sounds of lighters, matches (if I remember well), and burning tobacco, that I used for this video :

Hope it will help you. The burning tobacco sound was actually made with some grass, a bigger sound, but it sounds like it...
EDIT : so sorry, the sound I talked about isn't here : I'll put it on freesound tomorrow afternoon (Europe time)...
