i think they're from 30's and 40's PSA's.... djs use em all the time....

examples:
"dra-dramatic"
"this should be played at a high volume, prefferably in a residential area."
"CANNON"
etc.

where can i find some of these types of sounds? i need anything you can find.

like voice samples? most of them are recorded specifically for the track or cut from films

yeah voice samples.... i know a lot of them were released on vinyl from the government. i was hopin someone would have somethin like this on digital.

This isn't exactly what you want, but you may find something useful in it. LibriVox takes writings in the public domain and records readings of them, then releases the audio into the public domain.
