Heya Kids!
I'm trying to get my hands on some samples of an old dot matrix (or daisywheel) printer, specifically the head motor running back and forth. I can't find one anywhere without the sound of the pin head running, all I'm after is the motor noise (most dot matrix's have a self test mode on startup which will run the head back and forth a few times without printing)
sweet sweet karma to anyone who can help
Sounds interesting. There are some cool printers on Freesound but I don't recall seeing anything specifically of a dot matrix.
Wish I knew someone that still had a working one so I could record it.
I threw out my dot matrix YEARS ago... but I know where a daisy wheel typewriter is - so I'll try and record that on Monday or so.
Daisy wheel typewriter sounds here:

holy crap, im so sorry, i have been overseas for the past 11 days and i usually modify my forum signatures accordingly. i forgot all about this one cuz im only newish here and its not in the update loop yet. at least i had a ball there though, went to china and promised myself i'd stay away from the interwebs (though the great firewall of china would have helped there as well )
FreqMan, perfect! i like how theres a few different "pitches" to the motor noises as well, im gunna have all sorts of fun with this'n
thank you!
