Hi,

I'm co-developer of a Free/Open source (GPL) video games called Wormux (www.wormux.org). This game is quite similar to Worms World Party. It is developed by a team of volunteer and earns no money.
Currently the game is runnable under Windows, Linux, Mac OS, *BSD and is translated in many languages (about 15).

For the game, we need sound samples which are licensed under the GNU GPL License. This is because all the other parts of the game are released under GPL and mixing license is impossible if we want the game to be kept integrated in most famous Linux distribution (such as Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, Mandriva, OpenSuse, ...).

GPL license is not so different to Creative Commons License : crediting the author is mandatory, sounds sample can be freely modified and the license can not be changed. (Your work is your work forever). Dual-licensing is possible so that you can make sound for the game in GPL and released it on this fabulous website in CC. I hope that it can make everybody happy

Ok, so what sounds we are looking for :
- weapons sound : flying rocket, airplane and bombs for air attack, flying "supertux", gnu, ...
- step sounds
- character voices
- ...

A good sound-maker will probably find lot of sounds to add to make the game more funny!!
