i have a real accordion, a 1954 parrot (i think that's the manufacturing date) and i'd love to help you out, but unfortunately the only way of recording anything is with the windows sound recorder, as i don't have an outboard sound card, i run everything using a usb controller, so the quality would be terrible.
ok, well i'd have to go and grab it, coz i don't have it with me here, so that could take a few days....
what's better to record?
single notes, a scale or anything else?
I guess it depends. Single notes are probably better although that takes more time to record and upload. It's up to you if you want to leave the slice and dice to someone else.
Btw, you might be able to get Audacity to record at higher quality, although it is a bit tricky to get working with some USB devices. Check their docs and forum for more info...
I've got a piss-pot full of accordian recordings as well, but just like the Bagpipe stuff I have there might not be too many long single notes in order to build loops with. I will find a handful however and upload them tonight. Sometime over the weekend, I will post the links in here.

ok thanks,
yeah, i'd probably just leave the dicing to somebody else, i don't have that much time to chop stuff up...
actually, i use audacity and a usb keyboard controller setup......
i do have another question though.....
how can i set audacitiy to record directly from my mic, and also, how do i set it to record from a website?
