Hi there

I'm a composer in Sheffield UK, and I'm looking to make a piece that is based upon peoples' favourite, most satisfying sounds.

The kinds of sounds that make you go 'ooooh' - for instance one of mine is the whispy sound that the car sunroof makes when you close it whilst driving fast!

I'm trying to get to the bottom of what makes ordinary sounds satisfying to listen to, so any discussion along these lines would also be good!

I'd like to ask freesound forum users to email short recordings of their most satisfying sounds to satisound@gmail.com, preferably with a very short description of what they like about it.

I'll post the finished composition up on the forum when I'm done, and of course I'll credit the freesound forum those who made the recordings on the composition (although it's not for commercial use, just as part of my composition masters degree.)

The best parts are in the middle of the file - there's also a sliding screen door that is a nice remisicient sound to me.

WE dont have those kind of thunder storms here in Denmark.. I would really wish we had sometimes..
