Take the lion growls that are here on freesound. I don't have the URL, but I know I saw them.
Isolate them then slow them down. Add some reverb, and you will have a guttural dinosaur growl right there.
Gimme a 1/2 hour and I could knock one out for you.

OK,
I made some growls for you, but you can probably do this faster than I can re-post them here at freesound.
Look up these samples:
1. file number 35142 it's an elephant grunt/growl. You could use this almost as is. Or for some variety, speed the first part of it up, and the last part of it slow down 10 percent or so.
2. file number 31239 it's a large metal gate that groans on it's hinges. Mix it with the first one, fading in the first part so that the rumble isn't too loud.
Several years ago, I remember hearing the sound designer for the last Godzilla movie talk about how they made Godzilla's groaning.
They used lion and/or elephants, slowing them down, then mixed them with some slowed down metal creaking. There may have been some other stuff in there, but those two were the gist of it.
Enjoy.
