I can't find any "pure" peacock sounds. I don't really "need" it, I just became curious... I was told they sound like old ladies screaming. Maybe someone has a lil sumpn layin on the hard drive. Or a peacock. If you could maybe bludgeon the peacock and record it as you do so, that would be morally wrong; but profoundly cool in a perverse kind of way. And please ppl, don't upload any of those mainstream peacock snuff samples. We've all heard those before; I'm simply looking for a new take on an old favorite that is not copyrighted and "played out". thanks
its true they sound like people screaming. its pretty cool actually. I remember when i was a kid we'd go visit my grand mothers grave-and for some reason at the cemetary there were wild peacocks roaming all over the grounds (still do to this day) so i'd always see them and hear them. kinda errie being it was cemetry and all. but i've been told that cemetrys use to put peacocks on the grounds for some kinda reason (don't recall)
Probably, at least in part, to deter grave robbers and vandals, since they'll scream at anything that disturbs them, which is just about everything, it seems. They can get out of hand, though, if the caretakers aren't careful. One cemetery in Florida got so over-run by them that they spilled out into surrounding neighbourhoods.
