Hello,
i'm looking for a trip-hop or illbient loops with the vinyl rustling, crackle & clicks in the background.. kind of Lo-Fi, you know.
For example like in the 'Portishead - Humming' track..
Thanks.
Um... are you planning on making music with the loop or putting it in a game/film, or what? At any rate a "real" sample of the variety you speak of (a good one anyway) probably wouldn't be legal on freesound. So you'll have to build one. I'm hoping you at least have some type of audio editor... if not, go download one... then start with this http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=32309 (search for "vinyl noise" and there is more). Then either make a suitable beat on some type of sequencing software or search for one until you find it on here and add the noise... Or go get a record player and search through dusty flea markets and yard sales and build a collection of obscure albums then listen to each one at least 10 times all the way through until you find that perfect loop.
Yes, i'm a composer and i'm planning to make music within the loop i'm finding.. About software - I have Adobe Audition 2.0 and Cubase.. so I'd love to make loop by my own, but the problem is that i cannot find proper snare and bassdrum for trip-hop. Maybe you can advice me something? I already have vinyl noise samples, so the problem is only with the snare and bassdrum. It should be kind of lo-fi, not cheesy and so realistic as real drumkits.
Hey man, I suggest you go here for drum samples:

I do agree that trip hop loops are pretty tricky when it comes to finding the right drum samples. This guy, Psitech, though has TONS of samples in .rar-chives. You should find some suitable ones in there.
Good luck with your music, microfluid, hope I could help.
Can you find a loop you like and then add record detritus like these?

Trippy Hopping Babies,
I would suggest looking at the Vengence samples for Drums,
Or some of Zero G's The Big Reason One Hits,
Some of the battery kits should work fine,
And your own trip hop loops are easily done in a tracker program like MadTracker,
I am not sure of the right? trip hop samples,
do you mean short snare, long snare, processed snares,
There are WAY to many classifications of musik now................AHHHHHHHHh................
Hope that helped,
(it wouldnt help me if I read it, )
hello_flowersthose links rocked my face

Damn right, they rocked your cyborg-made-of-sticks face.
Live 6 has the effect I think your looking for, Vinyl distortion. If you have a friend who has live Id go that route.
