well... for some music... i have "ummagumma" by Pink Floyd on vinyl and my favorite track on there is "several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict" ... i love to just play around with that track. there are some cool vocals on there that are gaelic (or gaelic-ish) i would like something akin to that on my hard drive in case i wanted to sprinkle it on something
Give me a few days to get something recorded. I'm not at all proficient in Scots Gaelic, but given time I should be able to cobble together a few simple phrases with a more or less reasonably accurate pronunciation.
I have an Irish friend who recently got a microphone for her computer, so I'll see about recruiting her for some mystic speech in Irish Gaelic.
That's not Gaelic in "Grooving with a Pict," by the way, but a thick Scots accent, so you might get just as much use out of some phrases recorded in Braid Scots by native speakers. I'll have a go at that, as well, but I shouldn't think the results would be satisfactory, though they might be mildly amusing, in a slow-motion train wreck sort of way.
hi I am from Scotland, as I said thought you might like this.
