I'm looking for a sound similar to a voice saying "aahhh" but airy, like a breath or a whisper, ghostly. Is a sound that appears in many horror films about haunted houses. I need it for some title credits in a suspense video production where the titles dissapears with a blurry fade out.
I'm unable to find this sound in the database, perhaps I'm looking for it with the appropiate keywords. Can anyone help me? Thanks!

any use?
Your sounds are excellent! The sound that I'm looking for is similar to your "Baaly.wav" (http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=36991) but "less elaborated", shorter, like simply an exhalation of breath but with echo fx that makes the sound "deeper", without secondary sounds in the background. I don't know if my explanation is quite good... Do you know the TV series "Without a Trace"? The sound that I'm looking for is like the sound that you can often hear at the beginning of every episode when a person dissapears.
Thank you very much for your quick answer and for let me know your incredible pack of sounds. Be sure that I will use them often.
Your sound is very good. However the sound that I'm looking for is, perhaps, more simple. It's the sound that you produce when you want to steam up a mirror or a glass with your breath, but processed to be eerier, deeper... the sound of a short burst of wind with a vocal texture.
I have the sound in my mind! But I can't find an example of it... Nor produce it...
Thank you very much for your help!
how about this one by cosmicD?
I just uploaded a bunch of raw breath sounds.
Maybe someone can add effects - or I can do it later.
If you can't use them here, then perhaps someone else might string them together for an obscene phone message or something... possibilities are endless.
hock:
Dark_satellites: this sound is still too complex... with a modulation. But it's good to know about it.
FreqMan: where are your breath sounds? Can you post the link? I can try to do something with Audition... But I don't have a lot of experience with it (I'm not specialised in sound edition, only video...)
Thanks!
Again, these are just raw breathing sounds - adding effects or reverb should give you what you want. I might be able to do this on one or more of these later - just not right now. Here are the links:

and this one is the same as above in reverse with effects...

At the risk of offending...
I couldn't help notice you have enormous breaths...
One is a bit bigger than the other but I guess that's not uncommon...and they've grown since I quit smoking. hock:

I have to say it... that sound 'sucks'
At least it sounds like it does.

And the other stuff "blows"... right?
Yes, UncleSigmund, your breaths are enormous as FreqMan said! They are very good but the sounds of FreqMan are the sounds that I was looking for! The sounds that fit more to my case are 42920, 42922, 42923, 42924, 42925 and 42927. They are perfect for fading title credits and the disappearance of a character on a video sequence, don't you think so?
I will try to add reverb effects to them and I will say to you the results. However, if you can also do it (when you can) I will be pleased of hearing from you!
Thank you very much!
