I was trimming some guitar samples the other night and was inspired by one to make a radio-sting-style recording. I got that far and then i wanted to do more and more and ended up looking for samples of people saying 'free sound project' and the like, but alas found none.
I'm requesting some vocal recordings, male and female, in a 'cool' radio/movie style.
Some useful phrases would be...
"created for the free sound project"
"freesound.iua.upf.edu"
"by dan buddle" (pronounced Dan Budd-ell)
"The. Free. Sound. Project"
Also if any one else wants something similar making for use with anything, send me the vox recordings and I'll try meh darndest.
Thanks for your time,
Dan.
Hi,
I have no idea what deep cool vox might sound like, or even what a radio sting is, but my girlfriend took a try at a couple of these:
Created for the freesound project
the freesound url
freesound rocks my world
I want freesound
the freesound project (faster)
the freesound poject (slower)
created for the freesound project
Again, I have no idea if that's what you were after, but perhaps someone might find these usable for something.
oh my god these samples are SUPERB!!!
at LAST freesound has sex appeal
sometimes I hate that some people are whitelisted in the moderation, as it makes me miss some of the best submissions ever. By the way Corsica_S, perhaps you could put those samples in the pack...?

Wow! You don't get cooler than that, these are perfect! Can't thank you enough. Gonna' make some cool radio adverts now, give me something to keep me busy.
Dan.
Hi,
I'm glad you like these so much! Are there any other things like that you would like to hear?
Anyway, she's happy to hear someone enjoys these a bit.

do you mean put them all in a sample pack?
If you want to group the samples in a pack there is a link to do so on the sample's information page (the one with comments and info),
At the top- providing your logged in- is 'assign sample to pack or change sample pack '.
Are there any other things like that you would like to hear?
I'm sure they're are 100's of things i could think of which i would like to hear, but this will do for now . I got some deadlines over the next 2 weeks so i'm gonna struggle to fit these 8 in first.
Thanks again,
Dan.
hehehe, dan, corsica_s is a freesound oldie, he knows how packs work ( check his nr of sounds and registration date )
anywaym corsica_s, I just meant to put all those "my girlfriend talking about freesound" samples in one pack. it's kinda interesting to point people to when it comes to people who want to point to freesound in audio files...

I needed it, tried with synth voices but no good results.

hehehe, dan, corsica_s is a freesound oldie
P.S Corsica_s, the avarage income for voice over-ists (in the UK) is about £300.00-400.00 GPB a day! Tell your girlfriend
So here is the sample pack: my girlfriend talking about freesound pack
Dan, I told my girlfriend about the voice over income and she wants me to tell you to please give her some work!
Seriously though, I'm glad these are useful to you, and she is too!

The sample cleared!!!!!
Now, you will have to forgive the simplicity of this, but I assure you, me and a friend spent about an hour processing the vocals and mastering. And that's just the post production
Here it is.
