I seem to find random upright bass notes, yet I'm always missing the one's I need. Anyone know where I can find some quality, one-shot upright bass sounds?? Almost any type of one-shot bass notes would help but they gota be nice quality (the philharmonia double bass sounds are lacking in quality and I can tell, even with my speakers.) I appreciate anyone who can help.
This may seem a bit round-a-bout, but there is a remix pack on Jeff Caylor's website that has upright bass samples for his song, Pain is a Megaphone. http://jeffcaylor.com/remix-me/
It's a huge download and the file format is .aiff I believe - but you can use any number of programs to convert them to .wav or .mp3 or whatever you need. These are mostly finger plucked samples, and I have no idea whether or not they are copywritten.
You might drop him a note from his site. His self-produced CD 'Okay' is a great CD.
