I've tried this before and had some responses but no results. I'm looking for a slow motion helicopter sound. Like the blades going Womp... Womp... Womp... Kinda like the matrix. Anyone know how to create this and send a .wav or mp3?
Yeah, I thought about that. I've used tubbing and swung that in front of the mic, but I can't ever seem to get it just right. I'll try it with some rope this weekend.
Thanks
HI
curious about this sound time ago, I did a few attempts which I'm uploading right now. And you know, it's harder than it seems, its quite difficult to keep the swing constant. And I didn't have a really thick rope around, had to use a thin one... so I finished tired and with an aching arm But it was fun.
I think the trick might be to produce a sound as similar to the one you want, and then keep the amount of tweaking in post to a minimum

this is something similiar I made a while back
can't remember exactly what I slowed down tho - feel sure I used a sampler filter and resonance - and possibly minute amounts of distortion
