Hello Sirs and Madams
I'm working on the foley for a short animated film. One sound I'm having difficulty getting is that of corrugated iron being dragged up a rocky slope. I've found most of the outdoor sounds I need while out location recording, but there seems to be a shortage of corrugated iron about these parts (Czech Rep.).
If anyone can get me the sounds, and they're good enough to use [24 bit I'd prefer, but since I'm begging I won't be picky] I'll send them a copy of the film on DVD. And a credit on the 'thanks' list, if it's really good.
In case you've got the corrugated iron and the rocks, and are wondering how to get in character:
-a good 5 second drag over rocks
-some isolated jerks/scrapes over rock
-a few isolated flexes/wobbles of the iron
I know this is a long shot, but here's hoping...
tasmoid.
a small note.
ANY file you use from freesound needs to be in the "thanks" list as this is a legal issue!
If you do not mention the original authors of the files you use from freesound in your work, you are breaching copyright.
kindest regards,
- bram

Thank you for reminding me. I am suitably chastened.
Allow me then to readjust the deal:
Any sound used will of course be acknowledged with full-blooded gratitude in the 'Thanks' section of the credits. And if it's really good I'll send the creator a copy of the DVD when the film's finished.
For those unsure quite what corrugated iron is:

After looking at these, I'm sure you'll get the idea. A site devoted to corrugated iron enthusiasts. Ah, the Internet...
I also have the shot available for viewing as a small Quicktime (332kb), but I don't have a site to make it available from. If anyone wants to see it, I can send it to them.
I could host it. (pm'ed ya)
