Hi all dear colleagues
I'm currently working to soundesign and score an original performance that will take place next summer in Italy
It's called 'Ambienta', an ambitious project that mix togheter many different artistic languages..
There is a scene that regards the devastations of the earth, above all crafts them and
I would want to simulate the crashing of the land crust, then, a nuclear devastating explosion
About the bomb, i tried this : http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=47897
was powerful enough but i need a sound closer to real bomb, or something that gives the idea.
The earth breaking seems even more difficult to find!
Please, point me to the right sounds, if you can ; )
Thanks in advance!
jobro, i appreciate your effort ! ..thanks so much! looking forward to ear your noises
i forgot to say previously, but naturally each author involved will be properly credited!
cheers!
I believe it was in the 1970's a sound designer was tasked with applying sound to an atom bomb test on Bikini Atoll. Instead of using an explosion sound he used silence for the sequence, stating "It was the most awesome sound I could find."
Maybe, if the tone is right, have some low cellos play to silence as the bomb explodes. The lack of sound might intensify the dramatic effect more than any sound you can find or create.
uploaded an experiment myself -> http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=53841
comments and ratings are more than welcome
