WIM has posted a Grandfather Clock chime sound (it strokes 6 times - a nice and deep sounding ding-dong).
For my Analogue Vista Clock program I only need one stroke so I have to extract one stroke from his WAV sound. I asked him permission for this request since he lives in Cambodia now as a teacher and has no time to work on that.
Can anyone get me one stroke or perhaps refer me to a (simple) program that extracts a part from a WAV sound?
Thanks
you can download Audacity free to edit the file down to one chime:
Thanks for the tip. I downloaded your program and installed it.
I already had another program called Sound Splitter - Converter but it is very hard to find the correct spots in there to extract a good sound.
So I will try it again with Audacity.
I also dowloaded the Big Ben Chime Pro sound program from Aquarius that I can use for one trial month for free (from Singapore). Then they will charge me US $ 30 to keep it, way too expensive - these Chinese leechers, I find that a ripoff. Do you know of any crack or serial to cheat on them dog eaters? Because it really works well: the genuine sound of Westminster Abbey in London, every quarter of an hour.
However, after a month I may be getting tired listening to those bells every 15 minutes.
PS: I'll also contact the University of Iowa. I have stayed there at a farm (Corn and Soy Beans they were breeding - but the farmer was a very intelligent guy, musical too). I'm especially interested in the bassoon although I play the Tenor Saxophone and the Scottish Bagpipe too.
Here a quick chop up of the sample. http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=51826
