I am currently working as Audio Production Manager For Cambridge University and Anglia Ruskin Student Radio (CUR1350). We are a volunteer based organization currently broadcasting on AM and online at www.cur1350.co.uk
We are currently overhauling our bed and jingle database and need volunteers to record voice overs in the radio style. We currently have some voice over artists but i have found some fantastic voice samples here on freesound and hoped i would get some good results!
If you can record the voice overs in as high quality as possible and then post them up. I can let you know if they get used in a jingle or bed.
I understand not hearing the backing music makes it hard to know how to say phrases but if you can do various ideas we can adapt them to the music we compose. We are looking for voices which adhere to our Brand image which is Professional, Authoritative and Confident, but still retaining the Student air of Fun. Both female and Male voices are needed.
None will be used for commercial use only for CUR based jingles and bed's.
Below i have given examples of phrases to say.
Examples
'CUR1350 (pronounced 'See You Are Thirteen-Fifty')'
'CUR1350 Radio'
'Cambridge University and Anglia Ruskin Student Radio'
'CUR1350 News'
any combination of the above in various rhythms and voices would be perfect.
Thanks,
Aliki Rodgers

Hi From CUR1350.
We have been doing some of our own voice overs and thought they would be a useful contribution to free sound. We hope to have this forum into a sticky soon for people to get their voice used in radio etc.
links to the pack of samples (note these were all for a past event)
