hey guys,
I compiled the list today. I found packs by
FannyLH
Suonho
pcaeldries
CyberiaLainKittyKat
HerbertBoland
cdrk
satoration
Sadly enough dobroide and reinsamba tagged samples, but forgot to collect all the samples in one pack Guys, if you still find a moment today, add all those sounds to one pack!
I'm sending these first 7 today.

@Bram:
1. Does a sound get triggered as one shot or does it only play as long as the kids push a pad (or does it even get looped)?
2. Shorter than 3 seconds means? 2:59 seconds is ok?
3. The link on the home page should be http://www.happynewears.be/2008/en/index.php
4. Do you still need sounds at all (deadline)?
Hey guys,
sadly enough I wasn't able to go myself, nor did I find someone to go make some good pictures, but...

In the end the guys from klankspeeltuin used the 8 packs present in ONE instrument setup, gathering the most interesting sounds from each pack.
They said that for young kids, the sounds weren't varied enough, so that seemed a good solution.
The room -supposedly- had the credits written on a paper somewhere, again a pity I wasn't there
Thanks again for the submissions!!!

A fantastic idea comes true.
Please make lots of these and put them in playgrounds and airports.
Well, beyond the fact of our sounds being used (or not) at this “happy-new-ear” festival, I feel very happy at the invitation they made to “freesound”…and the fact we respond to them with our work.
I (with my dad) wanted to attend the festival, but was not possible. Next Year…well be there for sure.
I agree with juskiddink idea, let us spread this experience…I will do it with my schoolmates, friends…and who or wherever if fits.
Thank you “Freesound” and “happy-new-Ear” festival…you make ME, very happy and willing to discover new experiences.
Bram, I was there Friday and Saturday September 19 and 20. Our names were indeed up on the wall.
Talked to one of the guys of the Klankspeeltuin and was shown the 'insides' of the setup. The Omni is in fact a giant (I think midi) drum pad interface to Native Instruments Battery running on an OS X platform. Incredibly fast response when you touch the pads. Better and more acurate then an MPD16 hooked up to a PC.
A girl I talked to was just finishing a session with some kids from a school who spent time there the afternoon Friday. One of the things she had the kids do was to have part of the group make sounds with the Omni while the other part listens and tells about what they think of when they hear the sounds.
I couldn't help introducing the Freesound initiative to the people of Gonzo Magazine (http://www.gonzocircus.com) whom I met at the festival the week before.
In all a nice experience and nice people.
