I'm not hip enough to quite understand what they're selling. (12 sounds are 9.6GB? Even at 24bit/96kHz, each sample would be over half an hour long).
Whatever it is, it is nicely reminiscent of Vangelis in Blade Runner.
Here are the SoundCloud files:
gumroad website says:No external processing or mastering was added to the demos.

Hi,
This sound obsesses me for several years.
I heard into six movies: Star War 4, 5, 6, Alien, Blade Runner, and Blade Runner 2049.
Can you confirm me that this sound is in the scene or Obi Wan's going shutdown tractor beam on the bridge in the Death Star ?
How is possible to found the same sound into movies of the Fox and Warner ?
What's the name of the creator of the original sound sample ?
Thanks
Oh my god, yes! I can hear that whirring hum in my head and have always wondered what it is, too.
