hey guys, how can I make a synth sound (any kind) for electronic music that starts down in the pitch and grows and grows till the last key. I know is kind of hard to explain without a sample. Im gonna look for one and post it as soon as i can. think about a break on electronic music.
thanks to all
Hey Demariai,
There is a bunch of ways, it depends what platform and synths you are using. Do you mean you want to know how to make a synth sound too or just the pitching up?
The easiest for pitching up, would be to record yourself playing (recording the midi notes or using the pitch wheel). Or you can use an automation track affecting the pitch and just draw it in. If your synth allows you to, you can use an envelope for pitch. You could also just get a sample and use that, I'm sure there are tons here.
Do you have Absynth from Native Instruments? That's a good versatile synth that will allow you to do this easily.
Hope this helps.
1. Portamento on, hit bottom key, hit top key.
2. Synthesize with software like cool edit and make a gliding tone starting around 20khz and ending wherever you want it.
3. Take a single note and apply a gliding pitch shift from low to high.
4. Search "rising" on here. You should find stuff like this:
