Hi, everyone,
I am searching sound samples of the petrol / kerosene / oil can sounds that are traditionally used as accompaniment in Yemenite (Temani, temanim) Jewish music.
If that doesn't mean anything to you, have a listen of some tracks by Ofra Haza, and sooner or later you'll bump into a kerosene can being drummed in an easily recognizable pattern, manner and sound.
I have tried to look for samples in the internet, not found any.
So all attempts at help in tryng to find such samples will be appreciated.
Thank you for your time,

Hi, klankbeeld,
Unfortunately the steenpan and the kerosene can are different animals, although they both are idiophones. Steelpan happens to be one of my favourite instruments, but it is oriental music I am zooming in with the oil cab sounds in my mind, not the trinidadian etc music.
But thank you for your help, anyways, althugh I have to keep looking for empty oil can banging samples.
