hi,
i'm making a animation of a car getting crushed by a abrams tank,
does anyone know where to get sounds of a crushing car and sounds of a abrams tank?
i also need the engine being stationary, turning and all the track stuff, also i need the sound of the gun blast and the turret being turned/aimed.
if someone can point me in the right direction, or supply the sound that would be awesome!
(ill post the result (via youtube) once i completed the animation)
For the crushing, try combining many sounds to create something similar.
Sources I can think of right now are:
-Emptying a pouch of gravel.
-Dropping metallic objects (bolts, screws, washers, coins etc.)
-Scratching or rubbing pieces of metal together to create that scratchy, whiny sound.
-Rolling a piece of paper in a ball and playing with the pitch of the recording.
For the motor sounds, I guess heavy trucks would make a good substitute (diesel).
Firing sounds, take any explosion sound, I know there are some really good ones on the site.
For the turret, you can probably get it by finding some electric motor around you and recording it's sound, then playing with the pitch. (Car seat motors could be good.)
Pitch shifting one of these might work
