I've tried so hard to find this sound effect.
You generally hear it in movies and games as a warning honk when large machines are turning on, or sometimes when prison/blast/silo doors are opening.
The closest I've found is this YouTube video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9jg5iacYwM
And whilst this is very close, usually you just hear a single 'toot' to signify the door is about to open or whatever, and it's generally a slightly longer tone than in this video.
Please help me identify and find this sound effect!
The magic word is klaxon ... https://freesound.org/search/?q=klaxon

Thanks for the clue Timbre.
Actually, none of the links you posted were exactly what I was looking for, but your suggestion of 'klaxon' being the magic word put me down the right path.
Turns out what I was looking for is known as the Edwards Adaptahorn. Best clip I've found is probably this:

I'm still looking for better, but I reckon I'm going to have to tweak the clip to get the exact tone and reverb profile I'm looking for anyway.
Thanks!
