I think you mean "Terminator Salvation", but I like your title better. With the extra "I", the word "salivation" means to drool, as if one is hungry or not very smart.

I haven't seen the movie, but I googled for it. The name of your "giant bot" is "The Harvester", and I have to admit the sounds it makes are pretty cool: it has harmonics like a voice synthesizer, but with a very buzzy, industrial sound.
A quick search for 'terminator robot' here came up with one sound that you might be able to manipulate to sound right: https://freesound.org/people/stair/sounds/183405/
That one would take some editing to sound right. I wouldn't be surprised if better sounds already exist on Freesound or if someone here knows how to make it.
Here's another one that might be useful to you called GrindHill, made using Lazerbass in Reaktor:
Original: https://freesound.org/people/Leopan/sounds/163303/
Gentler semi-tones: https://freesound.org/people/Leopan/sounds/163302/
By the way, I found this sound by searching for the word "fog horn". And found a remixed version that @Timbre had, quite accurately, labeled "foghorn-ish".
Nobody here knows how to recreate these sounds or nobody knows what a "Terminator Harvester" sounds like? I'm guessing the latter.
I found a clip on YouTube of someone trying to recreate the sound using "Native Instruments Kontakt". I think the attempt failed, but you can hear a little of the actual Harvester sound at about 10 seconds into the clip.
There's also an interesting interview with Cameron Frankley, the sound designer for Terminator Salvation. He says they used "metal stressing" sounds. They recorded a log splitter slowly compressing metal and then processed it using, among other things, an analog guitar pedal described as "an odd ring modulator wah pedal called the Snarling Dog Mold Spore".
I don't suppose anyone here happens to have a mold spore, a log splitter, a bunch of metal, and a microphone to record it with?
No? That's okay. The Harvester sound, perhaps because it's been stretched out to be so low, sounds very synthetic to me and I don't think we'd need to go to all that trouble to recreate it. Like I said, I think Leopan's Grindhill (made with "Native Instruments Reaktor LazerBass") is already fairly close.
