Hi, I'm new to the site and more or less a newbie when it comes to sounds and the paraphernalia associated. I have no equipment (or deeper knowledge) myself so I can't create the file on my own and hence I would like to post a request.
I'm looking for a short sound file (WAV or MP3) featuring a male (or female) but a bit robotic/synthetic sounding voice saying "communication error detected" or "communication error suspected".
Something a bit like this: https://freesound.org/people/freeicecream12@gmail.com/sounds/169206/
Maybe preceded by a short ring, bell or wooping sound calling for attention. Should be WAV or MP3.
Backround:
Wanted for an autistic adult male without intellectual disability who is partly verbal but often communicates via an AAC device (assisted and augmented communication, nowadays basically a modified iPad/tablet with - very naturally sounding - speech synthesis). One of the apps used can be programmed to a certain extent and individually modified and has been set up to offer various 'cards' to help with dialogs and social interactions. Social and communicative deficits or oddities are an hallmark of autism and the sound file could be played, alerting other people that there seems to by something awry or a glitch in the conversation and simultaneously giving the autistic person a little time to pause, analyze and think. These cards are mainly used with professionals, therapists and so on.
This would only be used privately by the man in his daily life, wouldn't be published online or anything (or used by another person, on another device &c.) and doesn't have to be professional but I'm afraid I cannot offer payment. I'm quite sure credits can be integrated, though.
Feel free to ask any questions and thanks for the help!
Hi Matt:
Yes, I found the file: thank you so very much, that was very kind of you! I really appreciate it. No problems with the download or integrating the file in the app. I've inserted the attribution on the button initiating the soundfile.
I'm pretty sure it will be used quite often. Regards!
