Not much slowing and speeding but if you tell me which, if any you like. I'll see what I can do. It might help if you gave a clue as to what you want to create.
Basically for an old (imaginary) occult machinary in a student film project, very much like some props from Brothers Quay films.
There is an old metal wheel that turns quite fast, and speeds up/slows down depends on the scene. Its quite simple mechanism, kind like a manually powered motor that moves a simple piston. The prop itself does not give that old mechanical sound.
I was thinking that a fast turning stone mill could work, but I m no expert in field recording and sampling, and no idea about how to make a stone mill turn fast.
