I'm putting together some guidance on recording narrations for online presentations and I wanted to give some examples of how people get it wrong. These examples would include someone narrating a piece of text with one of the following problems or errors:
- ambient background noise
- pause for breath immediately before speaking
- talking too fast
- trying to re-record and insert a segment when levels don't match
- popping
- too obviously reading the narration from a script
- knocking the mike, or paper ruffles
So I'm looking for examples of some or all of the above (plus any others you might think of). Ideally, each example would use the same sample text, something short like:
"It comprises a number of lecture-style sessions and each year, typically, around 10% of staff can't attend."
Grateful for your help.
